“What Is” & “Who Is” Who is Power Tackle?

Power Tackle Premier Bass Fishing Rods

Power Tackle is the latest, innovative line of bass fishing equipment designed for today's new style of extreme power fishing techniques. Starting with a two line of bass rods called the Paragon and the "No Ratz" series, we are introducing rods that feature the finest components available, such as recoil guides and Fuji reel seats. Professional guide, Ray Hanselman, Keith Combs, and Travis Darley and their customers, have helped in the field testing and development of our complete line of rods on Lake Amistad. Most clients start off questioning the look of our rods because they look so much different than their conventional rods and wonder whether or not they can adjust to the change, but by the end of the day, every last customer wants to own one of our rods. Most bass rod blanks are a fast action which just allow the tip to bend, and unfortunately are prone to breakage. The Power Tackle blanks are moderate fast, which means more of the rod bends toward the middle. The increased action enables the rod to load up for a longer cast - a big plus in the clear waters of Amistad. The extra action and rod loading aids you from the hook set to fighting the fish and won’t stop until you land your big bass and take pictures! More of the rod flexes, instead of just the tip, which enables the fisherman to stay in contact with the fish after the hook set, and keeps an equalized fighting pressure on the fish.

This tackle is at the opposite end of the spectrum from traditional tackle.

The reel seats are the biggest change from normal bass rods. With the invention of the low profile reels, more people palm the reels than ever before. Our No Ratz series features a palm support seat that is ergonomically designed for control and comfort to get you though hours and days of hard fishing. The trigger on the reel seat is wider, smoother, and moved back an inch. The angle of the trigger is toward the back of the reel, unlike most rods that have a small, sharp trigger that create calluses between your fingers. We’re interested in getting the big fish to the boat, successfully, quickly, so you can keep doing it all day long, time after time! The ACS grip on the Paragon series is also what sets it apart. Different from the No Ratz series in that there are grooves cut into the grip which allow a spot for each of your fingers. The ACS also features an exposed section of the blank in the seat, allowing for maximum feel.

Our equipment will help take your excuses away for not bringing in the BIG FISH!
