Power Tackle - Falcon Lake Fishing Report
Falcon Lake Report-March 2011
Falcon March 2011.

We have had some incredible weather the past 2 weeks of February. It appears it is carrying into March as well.
Many of the river fish above marker 14 have completed their spawn. Flipping and spinnerbaits dominated the action up there in February.

March offers a multitude of ways to catch fish here on Falcon.  You can stay south and midlake and continue to work the shallows with Lizards and brush hogs on a 5/16 weight for mostly individual fish. To get into the good groups of fish I am still fishing the creek channels in 12 to 22 feet. Use you electronics to mark bait and look for the occassional individual arch on the bottom. More importantly, if you see bait near the bottom then fish it, the bass are nearby. I have been gaining more and more confidence in the 3/4 lateral perch in the new natural series. I cast it out in the creeks and once it settles I use slight lifts of the rods then let it glide back to the bottom, They smack the fire out of it!!.

Flipping into the wood on points in 6 to 14 foot produces as well. Be sure and put the bait between the bark and the sap!

Include a child in some of your fishihg opportunities.
