Power Tackle - Falcon Lake Fishing Report
Falcon Lake Fishing Report-December 2008

December- The lake level is at 303.28 and water temp. is 68 degrees.  The lake is still rising slowly.  It came up from 301.33 to 303.28 in the last month.  Bass are in pre-spawn and some big ones are already spawning.  I caught a 7 lbs 11 oz. on Friday that was on the nest in about 14' of water, eggs pouring out. Jigs and Texas rig flipping in the bushes is working good.  Try bushes in 15’ to 18' of water with 3/4 to 1 oz. spinnerbaits -slow rolling them and these should catch some good fish.  The East-West FLW qualifier for the Forrest Wood 2 million dollar tourney was held in Falcon this past month.  Greg Hackney broke the FLW record with 109 lbs 6 oz. with 15 fish 3 day total.  Terry Bolton was second with a whopping 105 lbs 8 oz total weight and David Fritts had 89 lbs 15 oz. for third place so that tells you that Falcon Lake is the crown jewel of South Texas.  Come by for a great fishing adventure.  We will set you up with all the fishing tackle and Power Tackle Rods you need to make your stay at Falcon Lake a great success  YOUR SUCCESS IS OUR SUCCESS.. See you next time!!!!!!
