|
December Fishing Report Falcon lake level is at 287.82 and is about 14 ft lower then last year when it was at 302 ft. Water temp.is now at 65 deg. Fish are starting on their winter pattern, staging in deep water. Deeper water down to 28 ft is holding some big fish but also a ton of 1 to 2 1/2 pound bass. We have also been doing well flipping hardwoods in 12 to 18 ft with creature baits. The south end of lake is the most popular side to fish for most of the anglers but don't over look the heavy brush next to creek channels on the north side, this time of year the big fish move into this areas and you can get your self a toad. Try flipping jigs, creature baits, beavers, brush hogsand craws. Get your POWER TACKLE RODS ready, they are your best tool. You will have a great time here at Falcon, and come by Robert's and we will help you with all your fishing needs. The weather is getting colder so don't forget your cold weather gear and your camera, you are going to need it! Until next report, Good Fishing and we will see you in Zapata,Texas.
