Falcon Lake Fishing Report-June 2009 |

Falcon Lake Fishing Report-June 2009 Fishing here on Falcon Lake has been good with some really good days. Most of the fish are in their summer feeding patterns. Early in the morning, we are catching schooling bass on top waters and rattletraps using the PG144 7’0” and the PGC166 6’6” rods. Then we are moving out to main lake points working the 18 to 28 ft of water with the PG104.5 7’6” to drag a big worm and the FB4 7’3” for the 1 oz. football jigs in creek side ledges. This rod works great when you fish in these depths. The new tilapia colored football jig from Talon Custom Baits has been hanging some hogs. The water level is @292.10 and the water temp is at 83 degrees so don't pass up those big trees in 20 ft of water . I use the Oldham 1 oz jig in Little Gator color with the new Gambler Mega daddy craw in the green pumpkin with the GMP-7’3” on 65 lb braided line and it's a lot of fun. Weather is getting hot, and the fish are getting bigger here at Falcon. Call or e-mail us. We carry the line of Power Tackle rods, guided trips and all tackle that you need to have a trip of a lifetime. Summer time is the time to be at Falcon Lake for big hogs.
