Falcon Lake Fishing Report-March 2009 |
|
March- Lake level is at 302.49 with water temp. at 66 degrees. The lake level is still holding with not much being released to the valley. We might get thru the whole month of March, and this will give a lot of baby bass a better chance to become big fighting Falcon Bass. After a cool front that brought down the water temp., most fish are locked in on beds and ready to move in to spawn. Fishing has been slow because of these fronts. Hopefully the weather will cooperate during this month and fishing should get much better. The first week of March has always been good for big hogs. Big lizards, creature baits and heavy spinner baits are the baits of choice. Crank baits are good for post pawn bass. Falcon Lake has once again been reborn with all the flooded brush and fantastic spawn. The next few years are going to be awesome on this lake. Make sure your rig your PG 104.5 Power Tackle rod and 65-lb test braided line the get your trophy bass out of the brush. As always we thank you for your loyal support, and stop by the shop for the latest and best information on Falcon. Good fishing and until nest time!!!HAVE A BASS-TASTIC TIME!!!!!
