Falcon Lake Fishing Report- November 2008 |
|
November-Water level at Falcon Lake is at 301.33 ft. and coming up about an inch every two days, so water is not rising as fast. Good fishing is at the main lake points in 10-12 ft. of water close to drop offs of about 20-30 ft. in depth. You also want to fish under water humps in the old lake shoreline close to creek channels. We are not catching big number of fish, but some good 8-10 pounders can be caught using 3/8 oz. to 1 oz. Talon spinnerbaits in about 15-25 ft. of water. The 6 ½” Hyper Tail worm is an awesome bait for Falcon. Mark Pack of Lake Fork Tackle used it successfully during the TX-OK shootout this past week. If you like to flip bushes, the isolated retama bush and huisache trees are holding some big bass. The Power Tackle GM-5 7’3” heavy rod is my favorite rod to pull the big hogs out of these bushes. Water temp. is around 73 degrees and the spawn is nearly here. I will keep you posted as the fish begin to move in. FISH HARD***FISH FALCON***PULL OUT BIG HOGS! Robert AmayaRobert’s Tackle
