Falcon Lake Fishing Report-September 2009

September 09,
Falcon Lake fishing in September is going to be even better then last year, with the good spawn in the spring. We have a ton of 14" to 16" fish and lots of fish in the 8 to 12 lb range. Fish that have gorged themselves all summer on shad and tilapia and most fish are in the creek channels or near by on points and flats. The PG-104-7'6" with a Texas rig worm is doing a good job either hopping or swimming through the tree tops, when you catch a fish on a spinner bait and you have 5 more fish competing for the bait, then you know you are in or near the fall season and you need the PG144-7'0" with a heavy cover spinner bait from Revenge or True Track and Talon. All of these baits can be fished with either a PG144, PG104 or you can really get serious and rig the PG104.5-7'6" with a 3/4 oz spinner bait and 65 lb braided line . Falcon Bass have been known to bust 50# to 65# line,if you love to flip jigs or creature baits you need a extra heavy rod the GM5-7'3" with a 7 to 1 ratio reel spooled with 65# or 80# line. POWER TAKLE RODS, are tested and fished by me and my clients and have never let us down if you come to fish this great lake that I  have fished all my life you need the right equipment because you never know how big these "Hawgs" are going to get these coming months. See you all here soon
