Falcon Lake Fishing Report-August 2010

Falcon Lake August 2010
Falcon Lake is full! The lake level is at 302 ft and the fishing in August got off to a great start. We have been having some real good days with 20 to 45 fish, some days with fish in the 8 to 9 pound range. We are catching them mostly Texas rigged with a Lake Fork Craw Tube and brush hogs, fishing flooded timber or brush with the PG104-7'6" spooled with 20 to 25 pound line. Spinner baits are also working along the new flooded brush in the bluegill and shad patterns. Top water and buzzbaits will work early with the PG142-7'0" for the smaller top water baits it's a must and still has the back bone to pull fish out of cover. Falcon Bass don't mind going into the most brush they can find to break you off, you need to keep them up and don't let them have any slack, that is where these rods work at their best.
Come see us or drop us a line to book your next trip to Falcon Lake and we will be glad to have you try one of our Power Tackle rods on our Falcon Lake Hawgs. Thanks again,

Robert Amaya
