Power Tackle - Falcon Lake Fishing Report
Falcon Lake Fishing Report - March 2008

Fishing is red hot on Falcon Lake right now, with multiple ways to catch big fish.

Fish are in all stages of the spawn. Pre-spawn, spawn, and post-spawn. This means multiple shallow water patterns will produce. A Texas rigged brush hog, hoo daddy or Mag lizard in watermelon red flipped around brush and hardwoods in 2’- 6', is a sure fire way to catch fish. This covers fish that are staging, on beds, and guarding fry after they have spawned. Key on this type of cover, especially where thick brush intersects deep water such as a ditch or drain. Another look you may want to give Falcon fish in a large (3/4 oz.- 1 oz.) white or white/chartreuse spinner bait or chatter bait.
