Lake Choke Canyon Fishing Report-February 2010 Main lake water temp. 53 Up river water temp. 60 Clarity--stained Fishing is a little off right now because of the colder water temperatures. Fishing on the main lake on ledges and humps in 25 to 35 foot water with 1 oz. carolina rig using your favorite plastic in watermelon red and green pumpkin colors, should get you some action. Also try using Oldham's 1 oz. football head jigs in camo color and watermelon blue. If your not into fishing deep go up river, it has some fish to offer but the water is very muddy because of the recent rains. Try using black and blue chatter baits and red shad senkos, fish a light Texas rig in 5 to 8 foot of water. Getting about 15 to 20 bites a day averaging around 20 to 22 in the last several trips. Look forward to a lot bigger fish in the coming weeks as the weather begins to warm up. Thanks, Charles Whited www.barefootfishingtours.com 512-557-6772
