Lake Choke Canyon Fishing Report-May 2010 |
|
Lake Choke Canyon Fishing Report for May 2010 water temp: 68 clarity: mid lake stained, lower end clear, up river muddy Fishing is a little off because of the rising water. There are lot's of 12 to 15 inch fish that can be caught fishing the grass lines in 8 to 12 foot of water. I hasve been using watermelon red flukes and green pumpkin brush hogs. The fish are starting to move into the flooded bushes too and I am using buzz baits and also, youcan use your favorite color of frogs. If you would rather fish deep the fish are out there. Use a 1oz. carolina rig with a 7 inch watermelon red lizard or a 5 inch flutter spoon in a sexy shad color. Last but not least, if you want to go up river there are better fish being caught but they are few and far between. Flip black and blue sweet beavers and green pumPkin brush hogs and be patient! Good luck and good fishing!
