Lake Stillhouse Fishing  Report-April 2009

Lake Stillhouse has been fishing very well.  If you get out there early, fish the shallow flats 1- 6 ft. and drains with any brush or stumps.  I throw a light Carolina rig with small creature bait on a PG144 7’0”. After the sun gets up, start finding any ditch that leads up to those spawning areas.  Try to find the ones that have 6 to 12 ft. of water in them with submerged wood and throw a Texas rigged soft plastic with a small weight.  Also, once you have located the wood, pitch in there and let your bait sit there for several seconds before moving it.  Hope you find some good ones.

‘Til next time,

Lowell Bennett
