Lake Stillhouse Fishing Report-May 2009 |
|
Lake Stillhouse is still low but rising. If it get to full pool or above it will get a good shallow bite around the buck brush and fresh flooded grass. I will start flipping the brush if this happens with a PG105-7’6” and 30lb line. The fish will get way back in there and this brush doesn’t give so you have to pull them out and the PG105 rod will do this with some authority. If the water doesn’t get into the bushes, a swim bait has been producing some fish. Here mainly, the hollow bodied swimbaits work best. Throw these on the SB5 8’0” or an SB4 8’0”rod with a weighted hook. Thanks and Good Fishing, Lowell Bennett
