Tournament Season Winding Down

Right in the middle of the end of a great tournament season and it has been fast and furious.  So many of Power Tackle’s pro staff have been on the road from one championship to another with phenomenal results!  I will list all of the great results below, but first we want to thank everyone who has bought and praised our rods.  Because of you and the word of mouth praise on the lakes, our name is spreading across the land.  We get calls from all over the U.S. telling us that they have heard of our rods and want to know more.  Of course, we are so happy to talk about the rods and their successes.  It seems that we have a rod that will suit almost any angler’s needs, whether they fish in Texas for the monster bass, or they fish in Connecticut for the wild trophy smallmouth.  Fishermen all over are very interested in a product that they can rely on and a company that they can trust.  We have a product that much time, pride and commitment is put into it, and we will stand behind it.  Every rod that we build is a labor of pride and we hope to be making these great fishing tools along with some innovative lures in the future for a very long time.

Bassmaster Opens
Stephen Johnston will be fishing the last of the Central Opens for the year on the Atchafalaya Basin on November 7th.  He is currently 3rd in the standings and needs a good showing to move to 1st or 2nd place in standings to qualify him for the 2010 Bassmaster Classic.  We are cheering him on!

The Southern Open was held this past month at Santee Cooper and our Mark Menendez finished in the money in 38th place.  Mark has already qualified for the Classic, so it will be a very exciting time for him and for Power Tackle.

Barkley the LabTo close for now I want to send our sympathy to Mark Menendez and his family. This week he lost a very loyal and faithful family member, his beloved dog Barkley.  As many of you know, Barkley was almost a trademark of Mark and his fishing.  When Mark fished, Barkley was with him, if not physically in the boat, his image was there, even on his boat wrap.  We all know that Barkley was a very important part of the Menendez family and will be missed greatly.  Mark and Donna, our heartfelt sympathies and prayers are with you.

Make sure you send us pictures of your fish with your Power Tackle rod or a Power Tackle t-shirt or cap and we will get them on our Braggin Board! Be looking for more BIG results in our next issue…

Keep on Fishing and sending us the good news about your catches! Til next time…
