A New Year and New Decade and The Promise of a Very Exciting 2010…

Kicking the New Year off right with an FLW Tournament on rugged Lake Falcon.  The FLW American Fishing Series, formally called the Stren Series took place January 7-9.  Power Tackle was well represented with Tim Reneau, Keith Combs, Stephen Johnston, Will Welch, Wayne Johnston, Cody Malone, Allen Coleman, Robert Ballard, and Kelly Owens…all exclusive Power Tackle rod users and pro staff.
Lake Falcon is the ideal place to showcase our rods strength and durability.  Falcon can put all equipment to the test, but our rods have proven over and over that they can withstand the big bass that fight with more fervor than wildcats and the heavy hardwoods that they are pulled out of.  You have to have tough equipment to fish this lake, but sensitive enough to feel the rubble of rock and brush that these big fish stay on.
The tournament was even tougher than normal with the coldest days in history happening.  Opening day of the event produced over 40 mph wind and record cold, so conditions were miserable and boats and equipment were torn up.  Tim and Keith still managed to have a decent days take that put them in the top ten, and after day 2 they were both still there.  Their final results were Tim taking 7th place and Keith moving up to 2nd place with a phenomenal day’s catch of over 41#...Keith mentioned on stage that it would have been impossible to have caught those monsters without his Power Tackle PT05-7’6” rod…talk about tough equipment in tough conditions!  A true testament to their strength!
Cody Malone and Stephen Johnston also placed in the money at 32nd and 45th respectively.  Congrats guys!

Power Tackle's Power Perch On Its Way

Tim, Keith, Robert and Stephen all tested the Falcon waters with our upcoming new addition…the Power Tackle’s Power  Perch.  This new lure will be available very soon after a few debuts at the next few tournaments.  We felt like this bait would need to be put to the ultimate test before going out on the market.  And so far it has proven itself!

Power Tackle Website Changes Coming

We are working on some fresh changes to our website.  Some things will be taken away, and some things added.  We will still be offering you the chance to purchase Power Tackle products on our website.  Products like our hoodies , t-shirts, and caps, as well as the rods and soon the new lures.
