Well, it has been a couple of months since we last posted a newsletter to let you know what is happening here at Power Tackle and beautiful Lake Amistad. Things have been very busy here the past few months with new changes on our rods, plus we are still working feverishly on the new lure. We did have a delay in the manufacturing of one of our molds, but now that is resolved and we are back on track towards production of one of the most innovative bass fishing lures to come along in a very long time. We are thanking all of you who have believed and who have been waiting patiently for the first of many in a long line up of great lures to come.
Fishing here in south Texas has been getting better and better and now that the weather is cooperating, we all have more days and longer days to stay out on the water. Water temps have warmed up and the bite has been on. Sales of our very popular jerk bait rods the PG143-6’10” and PG143-7’0” rods have been on the rise due the the Spring jerkbait bite and the new crank bait rods, the PGC173-7’3” and the new composite cranker, the PGC73-CP have been phenomenally popular rods. All of our new cranking rods, including the PG142-7’0”, the PG143’s are now featuring the all new Fuji K Series, Tangle Free Guide Systems. These new guides have a “leaning forward” look, and still offer the fastest, smoothest glide on a guide, but this design also keeps your line from tangling.
You will also notice that we are beginning to introduce a new look on our rods….the blanks on the PG104’s the PG104.5’s and the PG143’s are all a sanded, unfinished blank...with the rest of the line up being the next ones in line to go with this look. Not only does it make our already light rods even lighter, it makes them look even more like “raw” power and beauty. The grains of the
high quality graphite shows even more and it also will keep the rods looking newer longer, because they will not scratch and scuff up as easy as the rods with the urethane finish on them.
Another new look you will notice very soon is with our website. Very soon we will be featuring a “user friendly” website that will include offering a PayPal option that will make ordering our products on the site even faster and safer than before. We are going to be putting YouTube videos of our products in action and many more interesting and functional features for your convenience will be offered.
Now, to end this latest update, we will post the tournament results of our prostaff and our most faithful Power Tackle rod users. If we missed some of the results, I apologize in advance. We would be happy to post any tournament news and even some great Power Tackle fishing stories. Feel free to e-mail any of this information to me at
