This rod is perfect for throwing big, 3/4-ounce jigs around vegetation and hardwoods. It took me a little while to get used to the palm forward grip, and I like the ACS grip on the Paragon for my mid to long distance pitching. For up close and personal encounters with big fish, I have never felt underpowered with the 05. It's a stout stick built right, and you won't find a better mats and vegetation flippin stick.
